The FestungsBahn funicular is in operation daily from 09.00 am - 08.30 pm.
During events at the Festung Hohensalzburg (e.g. fortress concerts), the FestungsBahn is in operation for a correspondingly longer period of time.

It has been carrying visitors up to the fortress quickly and safely since 1892. During the ride up, passengers can enjoy breathtaking views across Salzburg CIty.
