ExperienceQuarter - MEETINGS WITH MOUNTAIN AND LAKE RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES

The valley station of the SchafbergBahn cog railway in St. Wolfgang has been completely re-built and re-opened in April 2023.. The station building has been transformed into the modern ExperienceQuarter, which is home to a museum, shop and restaurant, as well as an extraordinary event location with spectacular views of the mountains and lake.

These spaces are available:

Restaurant with terrace for up to 140 pax
Event area including restaurant and terrace, up to 300 pax

SCHAFBERGBAHN COG RAILWAY, PANORAMA STATION & HIMMELSPFORTE: TURNING EVERY EVENT INTO A MEMORABLE HIGHLIGHT

The historic SchafbergBahn takes about 35 minutes to make its journey up to just below the 1783-meter summit of the Schafberg. Having gotten off the train at the Panorama Station, can enjoy unique views of the surrounding lakes and peaks, as well as interactive insights into the history and technology of this cog railway.

A pathway leads from the Panorama Station to the Himmelspforte refuge hut. At first glance, it seems as if this hut perched atop the cliffs is floating in the air. One thing is for certain: Up here, you are closer than ever to the heavens above!

You can rent exclusively

the SchafbergBahn – for up to 200 people
the Himmelspforte hut – for up to 60 people

ON THE HIGH SEAS

If you approach Wolfgangsee from Salzburg, the magical glistening of the deep-blue water already greets you high above St. Gilgen. And in the midst of the lake: the ships of the WolfgangseeSchifffahrt ferries! During the summer months, these vessels provide regularly scheduled service between the idyllic lakeshore communities. As they have since 1873! And even during Advent season, Christmas and New Year’s, you can enjoy the wintry landscapes from out on the water.
