Austria's steepest cog railway has been running from St. Wolfgang up the Schafberg since 1893. The train takes 35 minutes to cover a total distance of 5.85 kilometers, rising 1190 vertical meters. And one thing is for certain: The memorable experiences already begin during the journey to the top.
From 17 November to 23 December, the SchafbergBahn runs from Wednesdays to Sundays to the Schafbergalm (middle station).

The SchafbergBahn runs daily to the Schafbergalm station between 25 December and 7 January. You can find the timetable here.
The snow removal is in progress, so we will probably be back to normal operation on Sunday 03.12.2023!
